Unit control and control

Preparation for battle: Units

In addition to progress and developing your character, you will gather your own units to create a war armband, which you can see by pressing U. Your units will have a great impact on your success in the game, so choose carefully.
All units are classified as cavalry, ranged infantry or infantry
even.
There are six "epochs" on each individual's development tree.
You must unlock the number of units before you can unlock the next era. Unlocking the unit will also cost honor points, and your character may need to reach a certain level and / or unlock specific technologies to do so. To build a new unit, go to the Barracks tab and left-click the empty slot.

If all barracks are occupied, use the expansion permit to unlock the new space. After clicking on the empty slot you will see a list of all available types of troops. Choose one of them and click "Build" to see what kind of equipment and horses (if any) are used by this unit. You can buy a set of units on the market, create it in a Weaponsmith Unit, or buy it directly from this menu for Bronze Coins.
Each unit has its own characteristics, skills and formations.
It also has a unique veteran tree of bonuses. You can spend veteran points earned in battle to unlock each of them. You can change the appearance of the unit by buying the unit's outfit in the in-game store and equipping it with the unit in the "unit's outfit" tab.
You can take several units to fight up to the limit of your leadership statistics
form. They must be different, it's important. You implement and command only one unit at a time, so it's worth considering which unit is most suitable for your current situation. If your character dies, you can give orders to the unit for some time, but without their leader, your unit will eventually escape the battlefield. If the unit survives the retreat, it can be deployed again during the same battle.
Use these keys to control your unit in battle: C:
Herring; X: Defend; V: Attack. You can also order a unit to change the formation (F1, F2 and F3 keys). The unit type should be considered.
Distance infantry should be placed in a safe place (e.g. on high terrain, behind fortifications) or be protected by another unit.
Avoid close combat.
Cavalry is ideal for surprise attacks, but should avoid Pikemen.
Melee infantry is not good against cavalry, units with large shields, and units with ranged weapons.
Don't forget about your teammates! Work in cooperation and build synergy between your units.
You can use your soldiers to mine resources in the open world (a powerful warlord should not be swaying a dirty pickaxe in front of the troops - they will have ideas above their station). Pay attention to the stat
work. The higher it is, the more resources an individual can extract.
If you have not found a useful device or if it does not suit your playing style or you just need an empty space, you can solve the unit via the barracks screen.

Preparation for the battle: Field artillery Why throw your units directly at the enemy?
You can start by thinning the enemy ranks with artillery fire! There are several types of artillery in the game.

7.jpg

You can separate them at the Artillery Craftsman NPC or buy ready artillery from the Siege Engineer or on the market. You can take up to three artillery units per battle, but only one can be ready to use at any time.
Place your piece of artillery anywhere on
field. Remember that it has limited ammo and can be destroyed (or even taken over) by the enemy. Artillery is expensive, so count them!

Battles: Battle Types and Missions Battles are the most exciting and exciting part of the game!
You can join the battle anytime by pressing J and selecting mode and level. Let's look at the main types of battles.
Field battle: Praise and keep flagged locations on the battlefield and defeat enemies to reduce the second team's score.
The first to lose all points loses the battle.

Siege. Show some tactical skills! Attackers must storm the fortress and conquer all flags to win. Defenders must protect the fortress until time runs out.

Conquest. Conquer strategic points on the map and kill enemies to win.

Gather a team of other Warlords to fight SI units in distant lands together.
- Deathmatch: Warriors fight one on one without units.
They alone can count! Test your skills in controlling your character. The first team to destroy 30 enemies wins.

Battles: Map elements and missions The blue capture points belong to your team, while the red ones belong to the enemy.
Get these points to reduce your opponent's score in field battles. In siege battles, they will increase the time available for the attacking party. To get a point, just stand in a circle while the area inside is free from all enemies.
Supply points are marked with a plus sign (+) in the overview.
You can use them to restore your unit's hit points and / or ammunition, heal your mount, replace or mount your active unit, and change weapons or deployed artillery. Approach the supply quartermaster standing at the friendly power point, press the F key to open the interface, and select the action.
On some siege maps, artillery elements are available for both
teams. To use the artillery element, approach it, remove it if necessary and press F. You can watch the projectile fall by pressing Z during fire. Watch out! The enemy can sneak at you or shoot you from afar.
There are ways to defeat the defensive walls on the siege map.
Carefully study the map before starting the battle, considering where the gates and ladders are.
Siege towers are your advantage during the capture
cities. Let your unit push the tower against the wall (press ctrl and click on the siege tower, ladder or ram to order the unit to use it) and storm the battlements! If you are a defender, use cannons on the walls to destroy every tower that is heading towards the walls.
Ladders are an alternative method for scaling walls and are more discreet.
Your unit will be more vulnerable if it is attacked at the top of the wall before all troops finish climbing the ladder, and the defenders can drop the ladder while you are still climbing it! Use the ram to smash the open gate of the fortress.

Ramming (and siege towers) provide units that use ranged weapons, provide a small amount of shield against ranged weapons.
Trebuchets provide significant, if limited, fire support to siege attackers.
Each player on the attacking team may call a trebuchet attack once per battle. Press the G key to activate it, and then use the mouse to direct the arrows to the place where they will land. Defenders can destroy attackers' trebuchets using artillery.
Battles are chaotic.
You should watch out for other characters and your own units and work with your allies to succeed. Study fortress maps and combat tactics, improve your unit and character management skills, keep an eye on troop movements on the mini map, and victory will be yours!
